Master the Art of Hitting

Learn the proven training method inspired by Dominican Vitilla that's helped countless players improve their bat-to-ball skills.

The Three-Step Method

Simple principles that create dramatic improvements in hitting performance

Track Early

Follow the kap's movement immediately out of the toss. The unpredictable motion teaches you to keep your eye on the ball and react with precision.

Swing Small to Big

Start with compact path → controlled barrel → then add power. The small target forces precision before power.

Repeat for Reps

5-10 minute sessions stack fast. Consistent practice with immediate feedback accelerates skill development.

Core Training Drills

Progressive drills designed to build hitting and throwing skills

Contact King

How: Set a 30-second timer. Have a partner pitch kaps to you. Swing continuously, aiming for clean, solid contact each time. Count your total contacts—then try to beat your best score each round.

Why: Builds bat speed, endurance, and hand-eye coordination under pressure.

Target Practice

How: Pick a target and throw 10 kaps. Count how many times you hit the target. Try different pitch styles each round to build precision and variety.

Why: Improves pitching/throwing accuracy and control

Turn Training Into Games

Make practice fun with competitive game modes for all skill levels

Golden Sombrero

Three strikes and you're out. Whoever strikes out 4 times gets eliminated. Last player standing wins.

Longest Yard

Each player gets five swings. The player who hits the kap the farthest wins the round. Play three rounds—first to win two takes the game.

Homerun Derby

Set your home run fence. Each player gets ten swings—the most home runs wins.

Full Game (With Bases)

For a full baseball-style game.

● Setup: Home plate, first base, and third base — 50 feet apart.

● Pitcher’s Spot: 30 feet (or 30 steps) from home plate.

● Scoring: Runners advance around the bases just like baseball.

A player scores by returning to home plate.

✘ Outs:

→ 3 swing-and-misses = out

→ Catch the Kap before it hits the ground

→ Tag a runner or step on a base for a force out

⭐ Winning: The team with the most runs after the agreed number of innings (at least 4) wins!

Perfect for larger groups and full-field play.

Quick Game (No Bases)

Simplified and great for smaller spaces.

● Setup: Only home plate. No bases needed.

● Pitcher’s Spot: 30 feet (or 30 steps) from home plate.

● Scoring: Each hit that lands past the 15-foot “no-hit zone” counts as a run.

✘ Outs:

→ 3 swing-and-misses = out

→ Catch the Kap before it hits the ground

→ Field the Kap before it stops moving

⭐ Winning: The team with the most runs after your chosen innings wins!

Fast-paced, easy to set up anywhere — backyard, gym, or open field.

How do you play Kapball?

You can play Kapball two ways:

As a training drill — practice your hitting, pitching, and reaction drills solo or with a partner.
